It brings us to a state of continued presence. The body is here now. Working with the body from a space of meditative awareness develops within us a ‘presence of being’ – as Gurdjieff called it. In the practice of this work\, our perceptions clarify; we become aware of the different qualities of energy that move in our body\, how it shifts and how it settles into coherency; an experience of one-ness;  \nthe dances do not end in themselves\, they become a bridge to our higher consciousness.  \nMusic and poetry\, Rhythm and Stillness\, Silent sitting are important elements that condition and refine our experiences.  \nThis workshop is open to all. Prior experience in dance is not required. Age group suitable for this workshop is 16 yrs and above…. Don’t let age stop you. The older you are\, the better you whirl. \nGeneral physical fitness is important. \nParticipants need to bring Yoga mat\, a small cushion\, and water. Wear loose comfortable clothes\, trousers\, tracks\, no skirts or saris. \nIt is recommended to eat healthy an hour before the workshop. It is adviced not to have alcohol or spicy or rich foods the day before and on the day of this workshop. \nAbout the Facilitator: \nZia Nath is the originator of Realms of Dance® – a showcase of sacred dances of ancient temples of India and Central Asia. Zia has been in the practice of this work for more than two decades\, presenting and teaching her dances across the country and internationally and continues to learn and be inspired by all that is.

Realms of Dance is a spectacular presentation of Sacred Dance and Whirling Mandala\, rendered to music and poetry of renowned artists and mystics of our sacred heritage.\nThreads of the Tantra Sutras of the ancient text of Vigyan Bhairav Tantra and poetry of renowned mystics of the Indian subcontinent weave through the music and dance. The dances are tales of love suspended in the realms of sensuality and spirituality. Expressed as movement translations the dances are laced with lyrical music of Indian and Persian origin\, creating a tapestry of rhythm\, mystique and magic.

DESCRIPTION:Sufi Sacred Dances Intensive \nThis is a 4 day intensive of Sacred Dances\, exploring and deepening the practice of Gurdjieff Movements\, Sufi Whirling\, Centering exercises\, Zikhr in sound and movement\, silent sitting\, practicing stillness. \nAashiyana Resort at Candolim is a luxury villa guest hotel at the sea shore of Candolim – a beautiful fishing village of Goa\, with a quiet beach sprawled with lazy shacks and coconut trees. Aashiyana Resort boasts of a guest list that welcomes royalty from Europe and offers the best in healthy gourmet food and hospitality. They have a Yoga Pavillion that will be offered for this workshop and a tea garden that will serve us morning and evening tea. Lunch is available at Aashiyana for participants of the workshop.  \nThere are many beautiful home stays and cozy hotels available walking distance from Aashiyana for accomodation.  \nDate: 26th – 29th December 2014\nTime: 9:30 am to 5:00 pm\nVenue: Aashiyana\, Yoga Pavillion\, Candolim – Goa\, India\nFees: Rs 12\,000/- for the entire workshop. DESCRIPTION:Sufi Dance\, Art and Poetry is a workshop of immersing oneself into the art and heart of sufi experience. We explore this through Sufi Whirling\, Mandala Painting and Zen Haikus. The art is to lighten ourselves of collected experiences and immpressions and allow our heart to guide us through the dance\, the colours and our expression.
